Summary of the action

Objectives of the action

To contribute to the improvement of the living conditions in Georgia-Azerbaijan border regions through increased cross-border economic cooperation;

To create an enabling environment for enhanced economic CBC and community relations between Gardabani, and Sagarejo municipalities as well as Gazakh and Ağstafa districts via conceptualization, elaboration, and advocacy of a joint Action Plan for these 4 districts/municipalities to revitalize rural economies.

Target groups

40 representatives of local authorities, business community, civil society organizations;

20 young entrepreneurs from the project target areas, including women entrepreneurs.

Main activities

The capacity building activities for young entrepreneurs in the target areas, including women entrepreneurs;

Awareness raising and advocacy events.

Project results

Local stakeholders have elaborated a joint cross-border Action Plan for the economic revitalization of border regions;

Young entrepreneurs in the target areas have increased capacities to grow their businesses and engage in cross-border economic


Local business communities play an active role in fostering values of cross-cultural tolerance, gender equality, and environmental protection.
